Miranda Ayim became the captain of Team Canada at the 2017 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The team won the tournament a 6-0 and defended their Americas title in a breathtaking gold medal game against Argentina. Ayim was referred to the tournament as the All-Star Five team.
