Mitchell John McClenaghan (born 11 June 1986) is a New Zealand international cricketer who represents his country in limited overs matches. He now plays for Otago in New Zealand. McClenaghan is a medium-fast left-arm bowler. He is the fastest bowler reach 50 wickets in One Day Internationals for New Zealand.

McClenaghan made his international debut against South Africa in a T20I on December 21, 2012, during New Zealand’s tour to the country. He appeared in all three T20I matches of the series, taking four wickets in his first T20I series. McClenaghan made his One-Day International debut against South Africa on January 19, 2013. He ended the game with 4-20 from 10 overs, the greatest bowling stats by a New Zealand rookie and only the second New Zealander to capture four wickets on ODI debut.

McClenaghan was picked to New Zealand’s 15-man ODI team for the 2013 Champions Trophy in May 2013. He appeared in all three of New Zealand’s tournament matches and collected 11 wickets with a best bowling statistic of 4-43, finishing the tournament as the second top wicket-taker after Ravindra Jadeja, who took 12 wickets.
McClenaghan became the fastest New Zealander and joint second fastest of all time to reach 50 ODI wickets in terms of matches on October 24, 2014, against South Africa in the second ODI. He accomplished the mark with the wicket of Quinton de Kock in his 23rd ODI match.

McClenaghan was picked to New Zealand’s 15-man ODI team for the 2015 Cricket World Cup in January 2015. McClenaghan joined Middlesex as a foreign player for their last six T20 Blast group matches on 19 May 2015, replacing South African Kyle Abbott, who retired at the end of June 2015. On 2 July 2015, he made his debut against Sussex at Lord’s, taking eight wickets in four matches, including 3/24 on debut.
