John Stubbs, whose birthname is John Stephen Stubbs was born on 12 July 1965 in Manchester, United Kingdom. He is currently 56 years of age. Despite of his limitations, he is one of the most successful archers of Britain and has won several gold medals for his brilliant archery skills in Paralympics. He has also earned 4 world titles and medals.

John Stubbs’ had to suffer the traumatic accident in the year 1989. He shared the full details in an interview and has  a very heart- touching and inspiring story to learn from. On  6 November 1989, when he was just 24 years old, John was badly hit by a speeding car while he was gong back to his home on his motorbike. He was very happy before the accident as he successfully got his perfect job as a fabrication engineer but everything turned upside down in few minutes. While he was lying on the road, wounded, another car swept over him. Luckily, a nurse saw him and took him to hospital.

After few days of treatment, he got to know that he got a disability for life. His left leg was completely damaged.

He was depressed for many months but his family never left his side.

After many months, with all the love and support he started coming out of his depression. He started playing disabled cricket and then archery which made him a  success.

John Stubbs is a very famous and inspirational archer in Paralympics. He represents U.K. in Paralympics. He has won 4 world titles and several gold medals. He never lets his past come in  his way to success and glory. He has won gold medal in men’s individual compound in Summer Paralympic Games and also at the 2008 Beijing Games and silver medal in 2016 games held in Rio de Janeiro.
