Not long after he fell in love with the game he realized that Ice Hockey is his passion. He understood that after growing up, this is what he wants to do. As the first player with exceptional status in the Western Hockey League (WHL), Bedard received exceptional status from Hockey Canada in March 2020. He was also chosen first overall by the Regina Pats in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. He scored 50th and 51st goals in the final game of the regular season. Connor managed to make history by becoming the youngest player to ever score 50 or more goals in a season in the 2021–22 WHL.
“The New York Times” then wrote an article on Connor and described him as “the most exciting future NHL player attending this week’s draught.” This happened while he was an observer at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Recently, however, the best thing ever happened. He was named Team Canada on December 12, 2022, and will be preparing for the 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
