Alpha Conde was the fourth president of Guinea ans he is now a politician in Guinea. He served as the President of Guinea from the year 2010 to 2021 for a span of 11 years. He did the in-office duty from 21December 2010 to 5 September 2021 and as a president, he was preceded by Sekouba Konate and is succeeded by Mamady Doumbouya. Mamady is the chairman of the National Committee of Reconciliation and Development.
He was also the chairperson of the African Union from 30 January 2017 to 28 January 2018 for 1 year, preseded by Idriss Deby and as a Chairperson, he was succeeded by Paul Kagame.
Alpha Conde was also active in National Union of Higher Education (SNESUP) and the Association of Guinean Students in France (AEGF).
He has been awarded with the Grand Cross with Collar of the National Order of Merit, Grand Commander of the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia mirabilis in the year 2019 and he was also the Recepient of the Order of Friendship in France in 2017.
