He walked around with a Z plus Security, traveled in a bulletproof SUV, and even had a ย personal security officer (PSO). He had been to Jammu And Kashmir at least two times last year, and each time he stayed in a 5-star hotel.
The investigation was initially led by CID and he was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on 3rd March 2023 at Lalit Grand Hotel in Srinagar. A case has been registered against the accused at Nishat police station under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, and 471 IPC of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). All sorts of fake identification cards have been seized from him. Currently, he is under custody and will soon be taken to court where further decisions regarding him will proceed. The Jammu and Kashmir Police are closely interrogating some other officials who are responsible for the security of the system as to how they have not noticed the huge fraud.
