At 16 years of age, Sharif joined the Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon, London. Later continuing her acting education attending evening classes at the Identity School of Acting in Brixton, London.

Tahirah’s passion for theatre has been prevalent throughout her career and is evident from her credits , which include the lead in the National Theatre’s production of Moon on a Rainbow Shawl, and the critically acclaimed 3-handed Firebird, which originated at Hampstead Theatre, and later transferred to Trafalgar Studios in the west end.

Tahirah is also a qualified Personal Trainer.

She made her acting debut with a short film called “Assessment” has also gone on to act on numerous television drama and movies since then. In 2017 she landed up in the role of Melissa on “A Christmas Prince”.

In 2012, Sharif was seen in all of the episodes of the BBC drama, One Night as Maddison as well as appearing in the second series of ITV drama Whitechapel as Chantel Essay. In the same year Sharif  played Esther Adams in the stage production of Moon on a Rainbow Shawl at the National Theatre and as Dunyazade in the stage production of Arabian Nights at the Tricycle Theatres. Sharif then appeared in her First feature film , The Invisible Women as Rosa, starring alongside Ralph Fiennes and Felicity Jones.

In 2013 , Sharif was cast as the teenage daughter of Martin Ashford (Patrick Robinson), Ella in the BBC television series Casualty. Ella was billed as “mischievous, a true trouble master and determined to cause trouble for Ash (Father, Martin). Sharif’s First scenes aired on 4 May 2013 and Final scenes over a year later, on 17 May 2014.
