Sinead O’Connor Early Life
Born on December 8, 1966, in Dublin, Ireland, O’Connor had a difficult childhood. Her parents divorced very early and her mother was often abused. The album, her last of the decade, was later reissued by Columbia. When she played the Virgin Mary in the 1998 film Butcher Boy, she experimented with a new art form.
That same year, O’Connor played at the annual music festival Lilith Expo, where she became a popular regular, and after actively seeking a new label, signed a four-album deal with Atlantic Records. Faith and Courage, released in 2000, was her first album on the label. Top hits published by The Atlantic included “A Song for Emma,” “I’m Fine, Daddy” and “No Man’s Woman,” which the press criticized for being too autobiographical.

O’Connor was found dead in her flat in Herne Hill, south London, on 26 July 2023, aged 56. Her family released a statement later that day but did not specify the cause of her death. The following day, Scotland Yard reported that O’Connor’s death was not being treated as suspicious
