He reached the summit without oxygen in his 2nd attempt. In 1994, Fischer reached the top of Mount Everest. As part of the expedition, the team removed 5000lbs of trash from the mountain surface. Fischer has climbed the top summits of six continents in his lifetime.
Fischer died on the 11th of May in 1996, at Mount Everest in Nepal. His causes of death are considered to be of Hypothermia and Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS). He did not had any supplemental oxygen with him and he was exposed to the very cold temperature of the altitude for a very long time.
