Paul Murray was a former and regular morning broadcaster of the 2UE show “A Sydney Morning”. Before joining the 2UE show, Paul worked in Triple M(2005-2010), Nova 696(2001-2004), 2SM(1999-2001), and 2GB(1998-2000) and later again in the year 2004. In the year 2005, Paul resigned from Nova696 to pursue his career in television. Same year in November, Paul Murray started reporting and broadcasting segments for the Seven Network’s morning current affairs and variety program ‘Sunrise’ and further Paul became a regular guest on the ‘Weekend Sunrise’. In March 2006, Paul hosted as the new Triple M network broadcaster Monday to Thursday 6-7 pm, with one hour-long current affairs radio show named ‘The Paul Hour’. In July, the Triple M network was replaced by Murray’s show with an 80s music hour, but in August returned hosting a familiar show, ‘The Paul Murray Show’, but in the timeslot of 7-9 pm. In the year 2007, Lisa Millard joined as the co-host in ‘The Paul Murray Show’ and the show started to broadcast in multiple cities throughout Australia. However, the show ended in the year 2007.
In the year 2008, Paul joined The Shebang with Marty Sheargold along with Fifi Box on Triple M’s Sydney breakfast shift and started to co-host short-lived chat show ‘The Night Cap’ on 7HD. He even joined Sky News Australia, where he started hosting ‘180 with Paul Murray'( now known as Paul Murray Live). At the beginning of 2009, Paul started hosting the All-new Paul Murray on Sydney’s Triple M 7-10 pm on weekends. Later in that year, Paul was replaced by Ugly Phil and started hosting a drive program “Paul & Rach” with Rachel Corbett. In January 2013, Paul started to work on a new show, ‘A Sydney Morning With Paul Murray’, that also broadcast out of the Sydney Morning Herald newsroom. Paul Murray was also awarded the ASTRA Awards of Most Outstanding Performance by a Broadcast Journalist 2013 Sky News Australia.
