As a beginner, he was only able to perform as a Libero. Takahashi attended the Higashiyama High School, where he used to play for the school Volleyball team. By the time Ran reached the third year of his high school, he was declared the captain and ace of the school team. Owing to his brilliance, Ran was able to win the Winter 2020 All Japan High School Volleyball Championships ( or Haruko). Not only that, but young Ran was given the “MVP” award when the competition came to an end. In the month of February, Ran got selected for theย Japan men’s national volleyball team for the very first time.ย Soon after the high school graduation, Takahashi was welcomed to the Nippon Sport Science University. Where he received the runner-up place in the 2020 All Japan Intercollegiate Volleyball Championship, leading the entire team. Takahashi was then awarded with the “Best Scorer” award for his spectacular performance in the competition. Currently, Takahashi has the position of Wind spiker/ Outside hitter in the team.
