Banita was born in Wales on 22nd June 1997. Her parents are second generation British Indian parents. Moreover, She started acting at the age of 11. She is currently pursuing her degree in English literature in King’s College London. She is currently residing in London.

At the age of 11 she started her career batting in TV series. And later she appeared in a chewing gum advertisement which had a song named ” Ek Ajnabee Haseena se” also in an advertisement for Vodafone India. This Vodafone ad in which starred, telecasted during Indian Premier League.
Hawas film was October starring opposite Varun Dhawan which released in 2018, when she was just 21. She also starred in Tamil film Aditya Verma in 2019 which is a remake of a Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The film was also remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh. And she also made her English debut with the TV series called Pandora. Later she signed a Hindi film called Sardar Udham Singh.
