Sirhan Bishara Sirhan: Wiki, Bio, Age, Attorney, Background, Height, Gun Sentence, Young, Diary, 1968: Sirhan Sirhan or Sirhan Bishara Sirhan is a Palestinian Jordanian man who was convicted for the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy on June 5, 1968. He had shot Kennedy, who as is known as a United States Senator and brother of President John F. Kennedy. Kennedy was shot, at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California; Kennedy was taken to the hospital but could not survive and died the following day at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Sirhan Sirhan Biography

Sirhan was born on March 19, 1944. He was born to an Arab- Christian family. His birth place is Jersulem and he completed his schooling from Lutharen school. At present he is of 78 years old and will turn 79 on March of 2023. He is a Jordanian citizen. He has been a witness of violence when his brother had died in the Arab-Israeli conflict which traumatised him according to his mother.

Sirhan along with his family for 12 years after staying in Jerusalem they shifted o the United States within the US they went from New York to California. In Altadena, he attended Eliot Junior High School, followed by John Muir High School and Pasadena City College, both in Pasadena. After her family shifted to California shortly after that he returned to the Middle East alone. He wanted to become a jockey for that he went to Corona but his dream could not be fulfilled since he met with an accident which injured his head.

He never was able to get American citizenship. His church denominations were changed several times by him as an adult.

Sirhan Sirhan Gun Sentence

It was arround 12:15 a.m. on June 5, 1968, Sirhan had shot Robert F. Keneddy with a .22 LR Iver-Johnson Cadet revolver. Keneddy was the United States Senator at that time. The victim was shot in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, shortly after Kennedy had finished addressing supporters in the hotel’s main ballroom.

Sirhan was immediately taken into police custody. According to him he did this for the country and for its betterment. San Quentin State Prison was where Sirhan was taken to in the year 1971.He was subsequently transferred to the Correctional Training Facility (CTF) in Soledad, California, where he was confined until 1992. From 1992 to 2009, he again was locomoted to the California State Prison (COR) in Corcoran, California, and lived in COR’s Protective Housing Unit until he was moved to a harsher lockdown at COR in 2003.In October 2009, apparently for his safety, he was moved to the Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, California, where he was housed in a cell by himself.He was subsequently moved back to Corcoran.

On November 22, 2013, Sirhan was repositioned from Corcoran to the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County. The transfer happened on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Sirhan also went through something life threatening on August 30, 2019, when he was stabbed multiple times by another prisoner. He returned to the prison two days later, after his discharge from the hospital.

Sirhan Sirhan Released?

It was on August 27, 2021, in his 16th appearance before the parole board, Sirhan was suggested for parole. In total he has served 53 years in jail. During the parole the two surviving sons of Keneddy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Douglas Kennedy, who after a long conversation (information of which is not disclosed) thought that Sirhan was not the one who killed rather there was also hand of a second gun man they offered their support for parole during Sirhan’s appearance before the parole board. The decision was subject to a 90-day review by the California Board of Parole Hearings later which Governor Gavin Newsom, had 30 days to grant, reverse, or modify the decision.

After the 90 day review the California parole board that voted to release Sirhan. The decision is out but the Gov. Gavin Newson in 2023 however, states that the decision taken in 2022 is rejected. Sirhan’s lawyer Angela Berry disputed he lacks acuity, and his psychiatrists have said for decades that he is unlikely to repeat such a thing or be a danger to society.

In rejecting Sirhan’s freedom last year, the governor said the prisoner remains a threat to the public and hasn’t taken responsibility for a crime that changed American history.

Sirhan’s journal entry of May 18, 1968, stated that his obsession on killing Keneddy was growing stronger and that before 5th JUne he should die. There were other diary entries and statements that said similar things. He is a supporter of communism that was seen through his writing.
