On 29 November 2017, Scott Edwards made his first-class debut against Namibia for the Netherlands in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. He made his List A debut for the same opposition in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 8 December 2017. he was named in the Netherlands’ One Day International (ODI) squad In July 2018 for their match against Nepal. on 1 August 2018, He made his ODI debut for the Netherlands against Nepal. he was nominated in the Netherlands’ Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2018 Netherlands Tri-Nation Series in June 2018.

on 12 June 2018, He made his T20I debut for the Netherlands against Ireland. he was selected as a member of the Dutch squad for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates In 2019. During the tournament, the International Cricket Council (ICC) selected him as the player to watch in the Dutch squad. he was selected to play for the Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural edition of July 2019,  of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. But the following month the tournament was canceled.
