According to Madlala, Longwe Twala rose and shoved the intruder with the pistol shortly after two intruders reportedly came into the house, with the shorter one wearing a jacket and cap and having short dreadlocks. Madlala claims that a ruckus broke out inside the home at this time, with Longwe having departed and Kelly Khumalo’s mother and sister, Gladness and Zandi, respectively, using his crutches to strike the armed invader.

Advocate Mshololo found it weird that Tumelo was Senzo’s best friend, and why would he do that?
Madisa has a kid with Senzo. The kid was a toddler at the time of the murder.
Mshololo asked. “After benefiting from Meyiwa’s murder, did you give the portion of the money you received to that child of the deceased who was your best friend?”
Madlala said, “I do not think I was supposed to do that. I think that Senzo’s family was supposed to support her, not me.”
“I did not share the money with them because it was my money.”

Madlala insisted that the paintings he sold belonged to him. He stated that he had no motive to share the money with anyone. And he also stated that he did not share the money with Meyiwa’s mother since they did not get along.
Sifisokuhle Ntuli, Muzikawukhulelwa Sthemba Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Ncube, and Mthokoziseni Ziphozonke Maphisa have all pleaded not guilty to Meyiwa’s murder.
The guys have been charged with planned murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, gun ownership without a license, and ammunition possession.
