This developed his interest in Mcdonalds’. He became determined to buy McDonald’s Franchise. then Kevin began to do savings, for purchasing the one and also started to operate small businesses including real estate, hog farming, etc. Then he decided to sell his farm and in 1997, he finally purchased his 1st McDonald’s restaurant.

In 1999, he sold that franchise to move to Oklahoma, and there, he purchased 2 restaurants of McDonald’s. In the next 10 years, he became the owner of 18 franchises of McDonald and they became the reason for thousand of people’s employment in the Northeastern Oklahoma region. But eventually, after entering politics, the load without any doubt increased on his shoulders and he decided to sell his McDonald’s Franchise collection. In 2021, he sold the last piece of his McDonald’s Franchise.

When the resignation of Jim Bridenstine in 2018 from the post of United States House of Representatives came, Kevin hurried and succeeded him in the 1st congressional district elections of Oklahoma and he also defeated Tim Harris and Tim Gilpin. He was sworn into the house of Representatives on 13th November. Oklahoma’s elections in 2020 and 2022 for US Representative, were both won by Kevin Hern.
