He was also the All Blacks Sevens skills coach and video analyst from 2010 till 2012. And later as the Taranaki Sevens coach and program manager from 2009 to 2012. He was also a New Zealand under 17s selector for a while and also became the top developing coach at Taranaki Rugby. Moreover, he was a powerful rugby player for Scotland in the World Rugby Sevens Series. His tenure as a player was from 2001 to 2007.
