Vikash Dhorasoo was born on October 10, 1973. He is originally from Mauritius. His forefathers immigrated to Mauritius from India. Vikash Dhorasoo began his football career at Le Havre AC, where he made his debut in a 0-0 draw with AS Saint-Etienne in August 1993. Dhorasoo was born in Harfleur, a town close to Le Havre in Normandy. He spent five years playing for Le Havre before moving on to Olympique Lyonnais in 1998.
