STORY OF THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT
Story takes us back to the 1950 America. Queen’s gambit potray the Life of chess prodigy, Beth Hamton. She was orphaned at a young age when she lost her mother in a car accident. Moreover, she also struggle with emotional and addiction problems. There is also a reason for a unique chess abilities. Back in the 1950s Ameican orphanage often used to feed the girls with tranquilizer pills. As a result, this the enhanced on the abilities of Beth Hamton, which lead to an addiction.
Later she was adopted by Alma Wheatley and her husband and she moved in with her new parents in lexington. There she started her career as a Chess player and meeting new people.
Moreover, the show is based on the book by Walter Tevis by the same name.
