During the initial years of his career, he worked as an editor for films like Squad’s Fall Guys, Old Town, and T&Lily. Then he co-conceptualized ‘Downtime’ along with Amitesh Grover and Frank Oberhausser. It was a live installation event that was held across Delhi and Berlin.

In January 2015, Shaunak co-curated ‘Notes of Mourning’, a live performance and video installation along with Arnika Ahldag and Amitesh Grover. In the month of June, he became part of the Copycat Academy Residency at the Luminato Film Festival in Toronto.

Sen’s next and widely recognized feature-length All That Breathe was released at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2022.
