Political career.
Soumitra Khan is a member of Bharatiya Janata party and now a President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha West Bengal. Moreover, he started his career in 2011 to the Assembly as he was elected the member of Indian National Congress. This happened at the time of West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2011.
In 2013 he put forward his interest in joining the Trinamool Congress Party. And further said that Trinamool Congress Party is not bothered about Bankura district of West Bengal.In 2014 she was elected as the 16th Lok Sabha from Bishnupur constituency .After getting into his position as an MP he took an oath to develop Bishnupur as a tourist destination.
For instance, in 2019 he changed parties and joined BJP. The rule of Trinamool Congress and the political violence were the main reasons that Saumitra Khan joined BJP. 2019 it was being said that extracted money per job aspirant by false promises. As a result, the supreme court did not arrest him but banned him from entering Bankura district. His wife Sujata campaigned for his election and secured vote without any rally.
