Ricky Starks was very focused and engrossed in wrestling from his early childhood days. In January 2020, he defeated Eddie Kingston, Matt Cross, and Tim Storm to reach the final match and in the finals, he defeated Trevor Murdoch and became the NWA World Television Champion of 2020. But in March 2020, he lost his title to Zicky Dice in the Power episode, and in May 2020, it was announced that due to the expiration of Ricky’s contract, he left the NWA.
In June 2020, Ricky joined All-Elite Wrestling and debuted in the Dynamite episode but lost the match to Cody Garnett on 17 June. Ricky gained his very 1st victory of AEW on 30th June in the episode of Dark while winning against Griff Garrison and made his personality as a Heel(a bad guy). He is still signed with AEW and on the episode of 23 November he defeated Ethan Page and steps up in the journey of winning the title of AEW World Championship, but, he has to be satisfied by the title of AEW World Championship Eliminator as he lost the title match to MJF.
