The couple met at Bristol’s Glen Dance Hall where Dave worked as a bouncer. The couple then got married and moved to Croydon to support Dave who is 6 feet 6 inches tall for his body building career . The British Heavyweight Weightlifting Championship was held by Dave from 1962 to 1964.
