Nicola Willis Early Life

Willis is the eldest of the 3  children her mother was a journalist in the parliamentary press of the gallery. She graduated with first-class honours in 2003 with a degree in English literature from Victoria university of wellington. She went to the University of  Canterbury for her post-graduate diploma in journalism and graduated in the year 2017. She was a member of the victoria debating society and took part in many international tournaments. Her mother left her job to take care of Nicola Willis and her siblings. Nicola did her primary and secondary education from a private school in New Zealand. Willis fought the 2017 election as National’s nominee for the electorate of Wellington Central and was number 48 on the party list. Based on preceding events, she would start parliament, but in the ultimate decisions, National went down two places whilst the Labour and Green parties raised by a seat each. Willis was next when there would be an opening in a list seat held by a National Party MP through the 52nd New Zealand Parliament, and after the retirements of Bill English and Steven Joyce in March 2018, she enrolled parliament.
