Lochlyn Munro was born in Lac Le Hache in British Columbia on 12 February in 1966. He is also known to called Richard Laughlain Munro. Lochlyn grew up with his loving family around him. Though they were a middle class family, they occasionally struggled financially. He claims his father is his greatest hero as he would never let his children down no matter how their financial situation was. Being born in Canada, Lochlyn Munro had a passion for hockey and he wanted to play for the National Hockey League (NHL).  At a young age he became a hockey player. Due to a serious injury at the age of 18, he had to quit his dream of being a hockey player. Lochlyn’s keen interest in different forms of art made him incline to the industry. After his high school graduation he got himself in to the music world and continued playing music for a while. He played music at a few Vancouver based clubs along with playing for some bands. Later he joined drama and comedy classes. Susan Strasberg, a former popular actress, was one of his teachers. On doing theatre for a couple years, Lochlyn Munro moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting in the 1980s.

Lochlyn Munro made his first debut in the year 1987 in the movie 21 Jump Street. It was a police-procedural series and her played a small role in it for 3 years. as various characters. It was in 1989 that he made his big screen debut Sylvan Lake Summer, playing a small role. Later that year he appeared on another movie Cadence. In the year 1991 his big break came his way when he landed a role in the Canadian TV series Northwood which ran for four successful years. During 1990’s he got busy performing various roles in different films like Run, Unforgiven, and Digger. In 1997 he played a lead role “Larry” in an action-drama called High Voltage which happened to be his big role. In early 2000s he started to land bigger roles and started to appear more on television like Scary Movie, Dracula 2000, Freddy vs Jason, and White Chicks. In 2014 he even co-produced a movie called Xtinction: Predator X. Most of his roles involved playing a police and appeared in the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Weeds. Since 2017, he has been a recurring character in the series Riverdale, which has become quite a popular hit these days. His recent films include The Predator, Rosemount, Out of Reach, The Perfect Child and Broken Pledges.
