She is an American attorney and politician who has worked as the U.S. Representative for Wyoming’s at-large congressional division since 2017. In 1996, she graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with a Juris Doctorate. Liz Cheney also attended the Oriental Institute, where she studied Middle Eastern history. Her mother’s alma institution, Colorado College, awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree, and she penned her final thesis, “The Evolution of Presidential War Powers.” Her parents were both students at the University of Wisconsin–Madison at the time of her birth.
