Jason Aldean (born Jason Aldine Williams on February 28, 1977) is a country music singer, songwriter, and record producer from the United States. Aldean has been contracted to Broken Bow Records since 2005, where he has released ten albums and 40 singles. The Recording Industry Association of America awarded his 2010 album, My Kinda Party, triple platinum (RIAA). His 2012 album Night Train is certified double-platinum, while his self-titled debut in 2005, Relentless in 2007, Wide Open in 2009, and Old Boots, New Dirt in 2014 are all certified platinum.

Jason Aldine Williams was born on February 28, 1977, in Macon, Georgia. His parents divorced when he was three years old. His mother reared him in Macon, and he spent the summers with his father in Homestead, Florida. Jason’s father would draw guitar chords on notebook paper to show him where to position his fingers to play the chords, and he would practise all day. When his father returned home, he took out his own guitar and they began to play together.

He was soon able to perform a song after only a few hearings. George Strait’s “The Cowboy Rides Away,” Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Blues Man,” and Alabama’s “My Home’s in Alabama” were among his early faves.

Both of his parents supported Aldean’s musical development. He wanted to perform on stage since he was 14, after seeing the country music awards on television. He played in the local VFW hall in Macon with the assistance of his mother. To make himself stand out, Aldean altered the spelling of his middle name, Aldine, to Aldean.

After high school, Aldean and his band played at bars and festivals around the Southeast with the assistance of his father. Aldean began composing and recording original songs with Justin Weaver (a band member). In 1998, he played songs from his debut album in an Atlanta nightclub called The Buckboard. Michael Knox, then of the Warner-Chappell song-publishing organisation, approached him. Aldean went to Nashville on November 1, 1998, after signing with Warner-Chappell.

Aldean allowed himself six months before leaving Nashville to return to Georgia. Five weeks later, he received an offer from Broken Bow Records in Nashville. Kevin Neal, Aldean’s new (and current) agent, approached him shortly after the release of his self-titled debut album.

On August 4, 2001, Aldean married Jessica Ann Ussery. The couple has two daughters: Keeley, born in February 2003, and Kendyl, born in August 2007. In response to accusations tying her and Aldean, Aldean acknowledged to “acting inappropriately at a bar” with former American Idol finalist Brittany Kerr on September 30, 2012.  On April 26, 2013, Aldean filed for divorce, alleging irreconcilable differences and specifying the filing date as the formal separation date.
