He was also featured on the cover of the Album “Lekkerboy” by a famous Australian Band formed in 2008 called “Sticky fingers”.

In 2015, he was fined $500 for wearing a sandwich protest where he referred to the then Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott as a ‘Cunt’. In less than an hour after he was charged the fine, his supporters ran a “GoFundMe” Campaign and raised the fine amount. However, when the case was heard in court the court ruled that the word “cunt” is not always used as an offensive language as in countries like the United States. As such Danny Lim was not required to pay any fine, and he was free of any charges. Also, finding him would have hampered his Right to Political Communication as was implied in the Australian Constitution.

Danny Lim Arrest & Injury

In 2019, Lim was arrested for displaying offensive behavior in Barangaroo. He wore a sandwich protest which had the CVNT in them which is an abusive form of the word “cunt”. The court has previously ruled “cunt” to be legal. So he commenced legal action against the charge and also against the police officers who arrested him. His followers also held a rally consisting of 300 people in protest of his arrest. On 30th August 2019 the case was dismissed.

He again faced an arrest in November 2022, while he was on his usual sandwich protests in the Queen Victoria Building. However, this time the arrest was rather a violent attempt and he ended up with cuts and scratches along with a neck injury and brain bleed. He had to be admitted to St. Vincent’s Hospital. The arrest was later discontinued when he was injured. However, the NSW police are going to examine the situation and investigate the police officers involved in the arrest.
