She was born on 15th May 1974 in Alabama. Moreover she was born into an Indian family. Parents came to the United States and worked per masters. Christy finished Junior High School when her mother finished postgraduate studies. And her father is a principal. And she has 2 younger brothers.
She attended local high school and graduated from Bachelor of Science in management from A.B Freeman School of Business. Later she pursued her master degree in Business Administration in Illinois.

She enjoyed playing basketball in High School. Later she received the number of recruit letters from colleges in Alabama. She was also honoured as a national female winner of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Award for sports scholar. She also won the commissioner academic medal.
Later she went to Emory University and served as the head coach of women’s basketball. She also coached Eagles for 14 years. Moreover she also became the first non NCAA division one coach to serve as the President from 1999. It is being said that she resigned as the head coach due to health problems. She has cancer and it has spread to her lymph nodes. Now she is an analyst and commentator for football.
