Mr. Neiman also devised Soothsayin’: a Stylin’ Julius Caesar, a hip-hop extravaganza that was staged by Shakespeare Festival St. Louis over two consecutive touring seasons while riding solo. In addition, for St. Louis Shakespeare, he wrote an original rendition of The Emperor’s New Clothes.  Mr. Neiman served as both a performer and a facilitator for a workshop that examined staging ideas for Romeo and Juliet as a theatre educator for the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. Mr. Neiman has directed four original adaptations of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (three middle school productions and one high school production), as well as original adaptations of Much Ado About Nothing (for 6th graders in the St. Louis Public School System), As You Like It (middle school), MacBeth (middle and high school), and Two Gentlemen of Verona (middle and high school) (middle and high school). He’s also mentored summer apprentices at the prestigious Berkshire Theatre Festival as they worked on several Shakespearean pieces for their end-of-summer display. Mr. Neiman was the Artistic Director of two teen theater companies at The Center for Creative Arts in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Neiman will appear in the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s production of As You Like It in January 2011.
