Chung is the offspring of Gillian and Phillip Chung and was born in Privett, Hampshire, England. From 2003 to 2006, Chung spent three and a half years with fashion photographer David Titlow, who is twenty years her senior. From July 2007 to July 2011, she was in a four-year affair with Arctic Monkeys vocalist Alex Turner; they lived together in London and subsequently in New York, where Chung bought an apartment in the East Village. Turner remained Chung’s “best friend” according to a 2013 interview. In 2014, the previous couple was spotted together on several occasions. MODELING –  Chung was discovered after being spotted at the Reading Festival’s comedy tent at the age of 16.
